Ellepot 16 Weeks is another specially developed and patented Ellepot Paper, and it is made with bio-based materials and has a degradation time of 16 weeks. This means that growers will be able to handle the plug in the nursery for 16 weeks, before the paper reaches a level of degradation where the plant should either be harvested, transplanted into a larger pot, or planted into the field.
The Ellepot 16 weeks paper is made with bio-based materials and based on natural, raw materials from FSC®-certified forests and other controlled and renewable resources. Regenerated fibers from plants added for reinforcement. Binder based on Nobel Prize winning technology is biodegradable. The FSC® certificate is our and your guarantee for sustainable forest management.
Along with regenerated fibers from plants added for reinforcement, Ellepot 16 Weeks also contains a specially developed biodegradable binder that is made using a Nobel Prize winning technology. With years in the making, we have conducted research and testing to develop just the right quality, texture, durability, and performance for Ellepot 16 Weeks.
The FSC® label ensures that the forest products used are from responsibly harvested and verified sources.
‘Environmentally conscious motivation on the part of the customers is exactly the reason why there is a need for an independent, high-quality guarantee of the renewability of raw materials. The “OK biobased” certification meets that need perfectly.’
Ellepot Quality Control is your security and guarantee that we always supply a fully tested, well-documented, uniform and high-quality propagation paper – all the way from raw material to finished Ellepot Propagation Paper.

The special characteristics in the paper provides fragile roots an excellent protection and let roots grow perfectly through after transplanting without transplant shock.
Recommendation:
We recommend this paper for use in short-cycle propagation. Growers will be able to handle the plug in the nursery for 16 weeks, before the paper reaches a level of degradation where plants should either be harvested, transplanted into a larger pot, or planted into the field.
We advise using a low tray for optimized air circulation to the roots.
We also recommend more frequent wet/dry-cycles in the bench environment until plant out
